My Qualifications and experience

I hold a post graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from City Lit Institute in London, and am an accredited and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ( which means that I subscribe and adhere to their code of ethics. I have specialist training in bereavement and worked at one of London's bereavement services for 2 years. I subsequently provided therapy to clients with a wide range of issues at a private counselling centre in Clapham, as well as delivering short term therapy to patients within a GP Surgery in Stockwell. Most recently I counselled NHS staff at a local hospital, and currently see clients at my private practice.

My volunteer experience also includes work at a charity for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and as a carer at an orphanage and in the slums of Kampala, Uganda. I have also successfully completed training with a charity providing therapeutic work in primary schools.

Prior to my counselling career, I worked for over 10 years within the arts and media in London and hold a BA Honours degree in English and Cultural Studies.
