I hold a post graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from City Lit Institute in London, and am an accredited and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bacp.co.uk) which means that I subscribe and adhere to their code of ethics. I have specialist training in bereavement and worked at one of London's bereavement services for 2 years. I subsequently provided therapy to clients with a wide range of issues at a private counselling centre in Clapham, as well as delivering short term therapy to patients within a GP Surgery in Stockwell. Most recently I counselled NHS staff at a local hospital, and currently see clients at my private practice.
My volunteer experience also includes work at a charity for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and as a carer at an orphanage and in the slums of Kampala, Uganda. I have also successfully completed training with a charity providing therapeutic work in primary schools.
Prior to my counselling career, I worked for over 10 years within the arts and media in London and hold a BA Honours degree in English and Cultural Studies.
