I hold a post graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from City Lit Institute in London, and am an accredited and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bacp.co.uk) which means that I subscribe and adhere to their code of ethics. I hold a Diploma in Trauma Therapy, as well as having additional training in bereavement. I am currently studying for my Level 5 Counselling Children and Young People which supports the work I currently undertake in Secondary schools. My roles have included counselling at a bereavement service, providing short term IAPT therapy within a GP Surgery, as a Counsellor to NHS staff within a local hospital, and at a performing arts school. Currently I work in secondary schools, whilst also seeing an array of clients at my private practice.
My volunteer experience also includes work at a charity for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and as a carer at an orphanage and in the slums of Kampala, Uganda. I have also successfully completed training with a charity providing therapeutic work in primary schools.
Prior to my counselling career, I worked for over 10 years within the arts and media in London and hold a BA Honours degree in English and Cultural Studies.
