My Qualifications and experience

I hold a post graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from City Lit Institute in London, and am an accredited and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ( which means that I subscribe and adhere to their code of ethics. I hold a Diploma in Trauma Therapy, as well as having additional training in bereavement. I am currently studying for my Level 5 Counselling Children and Young People which supports the work I currently undertake in Secondary schools. My roles have included counselling at a bereavement service, providing short term IAPT therapy within a GP Surgery, as a Counsellor to NHS staff within a local hospital, and at a performing arts school. Currently I work in secondary schools, whilst also seeing an array of clients at my private practice.

My volunteer experience also includes work at a charity for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and as a carer at an orphanage and in the slums of Kampala, Uganda. I have also successfully completed training with a charity providing therapeutic work in primary schools.

Prior to my counselling career, I worked for over 10 years within the arts and media in London and hold a BA Honours degree in English and Cultural Studies.
